To All Donors,
We would like to apologize for any inconveniences any of our donors may have encountered while trying to donate to Legacy Institute through our website online using our "Donate" button/s. We are currently in the process of changing our service level option to make our website donation process more user friendly, increasing the choices for donors in how they wish to donate, and trying to lessen the overall amount of inconveniences. For all those who have donated successfully without instance, we thank you greatly for your continued generosity. For those who have run into issues we also thank you greatly for your continued generosity, and following are some possible reason some of the issues encountered may have been present during attempts to donate online.
Due to the high security required to provide secure transactions and the simplicity of the service level provided by this particular Paypal option there is a $2000.00 lifetime cap/limit for all donors who do NOT have a Paypal account. Once this limit is reached, donors may not continue to donate using the same name or credit card/bank account (without a Paypal account). At this point donors are required to sign up for a Paypal account (In some instances depending on location and security measures donors may only have the option to donate using a Paypal account). Donors may sign up for an account through the "Donate" button, or sign into an existing Paypal account.
Unfortunately, there is also a limit for donors who have a Paypal account which is NOT "Verified". To find out if ones Paypal account is "Verified" or not, one can simply visit http://www.paypal.com/us , sign into their Paypal account, and on the opening page (after any advertisements, warnings, etc.) it should clearly show whether the account is "Verified" or "Not Verified". If "Not Verified" is shown, click on "Not Verified" and donors will be instructed on how to become "Verified". Once donors Paypal account is "Verified", no cap/limit exists on the amount of possible donations. The only requirement hereafter is to keep all credit card/bank account information updated within one's Paypal account. If such information is not updated and within the donor's Paypal account, donation(s) will not be possible.
Any and all updates concerning changes in the way donations are or may be received will be posted here, on this website, and also in the Legacy Letter.
Sincerely,
Webmaster
Legacy Institute
